ICH offers a wide range of activities and is always looking for new ideas. Take a look at the list below and if you don't see anything you like, do consider becoming leader of a new group!

REGULAR ACTIVITIES
BOOK CLUB #1 Contact Jeanne Hero or Amber Wickwire The ICH Book Club #1 meets on the 4th Thursday of every month to discuss a book, usually fiction, chosen at our annual selection meeting in January. After coffee and munchies, we sit down for a spirited consideration of the book.
BOOK GROUP #2 Contact Anni Drukier or Sue Attoe The ICH Book Club #2 meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. The group chooses the books based upon membersʼ recommendations of the books theyʼve read. In view of the international aspect of the group, books are chosen which will expand our knowledge and understanding of different cultures.
BOOK GROUP #3 Contact Fulvia Croce The new ICH Book Club #3 has yet to start. Fulvia was thinking of having it every third Wednesday of the month at 10.00am but invites you to contact her to see what time is most convenient to you and to discuss what type of books you would like to read.
COOKING CLUB Contact Margaret Whitfield The Cooking Club meets once a month in the home of the hostess who has kindly volunteered to demonstrate how to prepare and cook some of her favorite recipes. The only commitment is to host one time and cook for between 5-12 ladies. If you prefer you can get together with another member to prepare and demonstrate. If you feel your home is not large enough we can arrange another venue for you. If you are interested in joining the Cooking Club please contact Margaret Whitfield.
CYCLING Contact Nicola Jeffreys Cycling every Thursday (except the day of the Monthly Meeting). Meet at 8:15am at the Pavilion at Terry Hershey Park. All levels welcome! Please contact Nicola if you are interested in joining this group.
ENGLISH CONVERSATION Contact Barbara Donnelly Barbara, an ESL teacher, has offered to start an ʻEnglish Conversationʼ group. If you wish to improve your understanding of the English language in an informal and friendly environment contact Barbara.
FRENCH CONVERSATION Contact Cécile Granger Parlez-vous français? Oui? Alors, vous serez peut-être intéressée à venir parler français avec dʼautres personnes qui parlent français ayant vécu en région francophone, ou étudié en français. Our group meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 10:30am. Intéressée?

ICE SKATING Contact Sandra Pezzetta At the Galleria every second Friday of the month at 10:00am. Meet at La Madeleine for coffee and then cool off on the rink!
ITALIAN CLUB Contact Fulvia Croce First Wednesday of the month - Fulvia is a Professor of Italian Language and Literature. Beginners and advanced Italian speakers are welcome! Come and learn as you speak! No books, no grammar (unless requested!). Take this opportunity to learn a new language or brush up on what you already know!
THE LONE STAR STITCHES "Since the number of ICH stitch enthusiasts has grown to the point that our Lonestar Stitchers group is struggling to fit into homes for meetings, we find it necessary to close our group's membership list at this time. Each of our members loves getting together to share hobbies, ideas and friendship, so we hope this will not discourage, but inspire any new stitchers to form a second group of their own. Our current members look forward to supporting the new group leader and members as well as going on an occasional outing together. Thank you for your understanding." Peg Ingebretson
MAH JONG CLUB Contact Parry Kahkeshani We welcome new members, beginners or experienced players on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.
RUSSIAN CLUB Contact Fulvia Croce Fulvia is also willing to host a Russian language club. She has a degree in Russian, and lived there for seven years. If interested, please give her a call to set a date for future sessions.
SPANISH CONVERSATION Contact Barbara Donnelly The Spanish Conversation group meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:30am. You do not have to be fluent in Spanish to join us! We have coffee then chat in Spanish - with the help of some of our Spanish speaking members. If you are interested in joining, want more information, or just want to try us out, please contact Barbara.
TUESDAY TENNIS Contact Sandra Pezzetta Tennis will resume at 9620 Bayou Brook PVT every Tuesday at 8:30am for those who can make it by this time. If not, later is OK, but please let Sandra know you are coming! All levels are welcome, look forward to seeing you on the courts!

MEMBER SERVICES We act as facilitators for a number of activities that may be of interest to our members. If you wish to participate or if you want to know more about an activity please contact the activity leader or our VP Activities.
TOTS ABOUT TOWN Contact Liz Evans Tots About Town is an informal playgroup for Moms and under 5. It is usually hosted at membersʼ homes with occasional excursions around town. The group meets mostly on Wednesday mornings. TANZOT TODDLERS Contact our VP Activities or www.tanzot.org Tanzot Toddlers cater to mums and tots 0-4 and are looking for new members! They donʼt mind at all if you are not from The Antipodes. They meet every Thursday at 10:00am, usually at a memberʼs home.
TEENAGE TOUCHSTONE Contact A social group for students (13+) who are studying out of town, perhaps at boarding school or university, looking to network with like-minded people during the holidays.
